Faith
Also known as Belief, Trust
Faith in Scripture is trust that takes God at His word and acts on it. Abraham believed the promise and it was credited to him as righteousness; in the Gospels Jesus repeatedly answers faith with healing, rebukes its absence in a storm, and calls people to believe in Him for eternal life.
Why it matters. Faith is the response the Gospel asks for, and the Gospels show it in fishermen, a bleeding woman, a synagogue leader, and a grieving sister.
