In a remote place near the Sea of Galilee Jesus fed a crowd of about five thousand men, besides women and children, with five loaves and two fish, blessing and breaking the bread until all were satisfied and twelve baskets were left over. John records that the people wanted to make Him king by force, and that Jesus withdrew.

Near Caesarea Philippi Jesus asked His disciples who people said He was, then who they said He was, and Peter answered that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
