About Ibleam
Ibleam, also known as Bileam or Gath-rimmon, was a Levitical city located in the territory of Issachar (Joshua 17:11; 21:25; 1Ch.6.70). It was one of the cities that were not fully conquered by the Israelites during the time of Joshua, and the Canaanite inhabitants continued to live there (Judges 1:27). King Ahaziah of Judah was wounded by Jehu's soldiers near Ibleam as he fled from Jezreel (2Ki.9.27). The city was also the location where Zechariah, king of Israel, was assassinated by Shallum (2Ki.15.10). Its exact location is uncertain, but it was likely situated in the Jezreel Valley.
