About Zechariah
Zechariah was a prophet who lived during the reign of Uzziah, king of Judah. He had understanding in the visions of God. As long as Uzziah sought the Lord, God made him prosper. Zechariah instructed Uzziah in the fear of God. Under his guidance, Uzziah became mighty, built towers and fortifications, and had a large well-equipped army. However, after Uzziah became strong, he grew proud, leading to his downfall. This Zechariah is only mentioned in this single passage.
