Tobadonijah is mentioned in 2Ch.17.8 as one of the Levites sent by King Jehoshaphat of Judah to teach the Book of the Law in the cities of Judah. He was part of a delegation that included other Levites, such as Shemaiah, Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, as well as the priests Elishama and Jehoram.
