About Tirhanah
Tirhanah is mentioned briefly in 1Ch.2.48 as one of the sons of Caleb by his concubine Maacah. He is listed along with his brothers Sheber and Shaaph. Caleb was a prominent figure from the tribe of Judah, one of the twelve spies sent by Moses to explore the land of Canaan (Num.13.6). The genealogy in 1Chronicles 2 traces the descendants of Judah, including Caleb's family.
