About Meres

Meres was one of the seven princes of Persia and Media who had access to King Ahasuerus and were closest to him in rank (Est.1.14). These princes were consulted by the king when he sought advice on how to respond to Queen Vashti's refusal to appear before him and his guests during a royal feast.
