About Mahli

Mahli was one of the sons of Merari and a grandson of Levi. He was an ancestor of the Levitical clan known as the Mahlites. Mahli's descendants were responsible for various duties in the tabernacle and later in the temple. They were counted in the census of the Levites during the time of Moses and were given specific responsibilities in the transportation and setup of the tabernacle
