About Kore
Kore, the son of Imnah the Levite, was appointed by King Hezekiah to be in charge of distributing the freewill offerings, contributions, and dedicated gifts brought to the temple (2Ch.31.14). He served at the East Gate and was responsible for ensuring that the offerings were properly distributed among the priests and Levites according to their divisions (2Ch.31.15). Kore's appointment demonstrates Hezekiah's efforts to restore proper worship and support for the Levites during his reign.
