Hezir was a priest who was assigned the 17th division of priestly service in the time of King David. Mentioned once in Scripture, at 1 Chronicles 24:15.

About Hezir

Hezir is mentioned in 1Ch.24.15 as a priest during the reign of King David. He was the head of the 17th division of the priestly service, which was established by David when he organized the priests into 24 divisions for their service in the temple. Each division was responsible for serving in the temple for a week at a time, twice a year.
