About Azariah

Azariah son of Jehallel was a Levite of the Merari clan during the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah. When Hezekiah ordered the cleansing and rededication of the temple, Azariah was one of the Levites who helped carry out the purification work (2Ch.29.12). No other details are given about his life or responsibilities.
